FuzzBall Nation Family Reunion

Its thursday everyone is getting ready for the road trip! Leaving tomorrow at 6:00pm. Going to be great fun. Tony was demoing how to fish on one knee the other night when we left his house. I wonder if that is part of the trip or was it something else.

Littlest Fuzzball on HER Way

Yep, I used a female pronoun. We found out today that we're having a healthy baby GIRL. Halle is excited to finally get the baby sister she's always wanted.

Memorial Day Weekend 2011

I'm excited to be the first to get to post on our Jones family blog. We had a really great time at the cabin over Memorial Day weekend. We had a houseful, but it was a blast and we missed eveyone who couldn't be there. It was cold and there was still a big pile of snow in the driveway, not to mention the feet-deep piles in the mountains. But grandpa made sure to keep us plenty warm inside the cabin. :)

Highlights of the Trip

(This is what I remember. Feel free to add your memories in comments or other posts.)

Late-night Tripoley--luck runs in the Tony Jones family. I think Tony, Brandie, or McKenna ended up ahead most of the time.

Stellar trip to Jackson. Because the normal road was washed out, we had to take the long way--around Palisades, though Swan Valley, and over the steepest of all steep mountain passes. The weather was beautiful, Cindy got lost...twice, The Merry Piglets denied us separate checks (thanks Tony), and Brady and Mason saw a drunk guy peeing on a wall. Good times.

A stop at the majestic Tetons. Nate had never seen them before and it was a great photo op (I got photos in this post from people's Facebook pages. Everybody be sure to upload more cool photos you have and want to share).

Cindy stumbling up the stairs from the basement: "Oh...it's so dark down here, I think I might kill myself."

Cindy (I think we have a pattern developing here) yelling from the kitchen to the basement: "MASON...bring up your green gas pills."

Everyone playing Just Dance and Just Dance 2. We learned how much Mason loves Katy Perry.

Rook tournaments! Passing on the Gardner legacy.

Paola cooking her delicious soup...in a pot as big as she is. :)

Mafia! Who knew Auburn was such a convincing actress??

Visiting the lovely Afton cemetery and thinking of our family beyond the veil. It's a tradition I know we all love.

More late-night Tripoley...we just couldn't get enough.

Brady: "Those muffins are butt-smackin' good!"

I had such a fun time. We all have busy lives and we don't get to see each other as much as we would probably like; but we're so lucky to have the cabin to bring us all back together. And when we're there, it feels like no time has passed at all.

I'm sure there are more memorable moments from this trip, but I need everyone to help me remember. One thing's for certain: Our family of fuzzballs rules!
